Lake Travis Independent School District
The LTISD, originally a component of the Dripping Springs Independent School District, was formed on June 12, 1981. At that time, 541 students were enrolled in grades K - 12. Since then, the enrollment of the LTISD has increased to 4,148 students. Through the Texas Accountability System in 1999-00 the District received an "Exemplary" rating.
